After a long pause in rehearsals and performances due to the COVID-19 pandemic, BCE returned to its regular activities—both online and in person—under the leadership of Interim Artistic Director Klo Garoute.

Sing We Our Tomorrow

Boston Choral Ensemble celebrates Pride 2022 with Sing We Our Tomorrow, a stirring musical and spoken-word program exploring LGBTQIA+ identity in a journey through history.

The concert features music by LGBTQIA+ composers including Mari Esabel Valverde, Michael Bussewitz-Quarm, Joan Szymko, and David Brunner that speaks to themes of struggle, solidarity, transformation, and community. In addition to choral works, the performance will include a timeline of highlights in LGBTQ+ history in America and readings from historical and contemporary LGBTQIA+ writers, leaders, and allies to uplift the experiences of marginalized groups and shine a light on past and current matters related to social justice and diversity.
