This evocative performance features works by predominantly women composers, including Tracy Wong’s “Antara (Between),” Sarah Quartel’s “I Will Be With You,” and Caroline Shaw’s intricate six-movement piece, “To The Hands.” Join us for an evening where music and metaphor intertwine to honor the profound spirit of human strength.

My Journey, Yours weaves the experiences of immigrants into music and stories: songs they bring from their homelands and their journeys of starting anew. Boston Choral Ensemble first performed this program in Boston last March. The response was so enthusiastic, that BCE is bringing this program to other cities, starting with Minneapolis-St. Paul, in collaboration with the Minneapolis Choir Co-Op.

Experience pieces from international composers like Alberto Grau’s “Kasar Mie La Gaji” and Joe Twist’s “How Shall We Sing In A Strange Land?” that underscore our global and timeless relationship with the planet.
