Commissions

From 2008 to 2019, Boston Choral Ensemble sponsored a Commission Competition, aimed at identifying a talented composer and supporting them in the performance of a new work for chamber choir. BCE is proud to have commissioned and performed the following twelve new works by exciting contemporary composers.

Boston Choral Ensemble remains passionate about new choral music. Under the leadership of Katherine Chan, we continue to champion new music and emerging composers in a variety of ways.
