Inspired by the finest twentieth-century British choral music, BCE presents Door to Paradise, a thematic program that explores different perspectives on death and life after death. With Howells' sublime Take him Earth for Cherishing as the centerpiece, Door to Paradise also includes modern masterpieces by Tavener and Harvey, two little-known gems by Richard Scarth and two masterworks for double choir: Faire is the heaven by Harris and the monumental Vox dicentis: clama by Naylor. Please join the BCE and guest conductor Andrew Shenton for this transformative and inspirational program.
