Outreach Initiatives

The Boston Choral Ensemble is looking for ways to reach out to our community, to increase musical appreciation and understanding. We are seeking partnerships with community groups, schools, educational or artistic organizations—you name it. In fact, please do! If you know of an event or organization that would benefit from a partnership with BCE, we hope that you will contact us.

Our definition of outreach includes anything that engages community members in any musical activity, be it listening to a performance, participating in discussions with BCE members and staff, or collaborations with our group on some aspect of the preparation and performance of music. Past outreach activities have included:

  • a program with Dedham High School involving a discussion session with our conductor followed by a joint DHS/BCE concert;
  • performing at a local retirement home; and,
  • singing during services at Arlington Street Church, as part of our partnership with the church as artists in residence.

We plan to continue with activities such as these, but we are always looking for new ways to connect with our community. If you think that the Boston Choral Ensemble can enrich your group or event, please contact us!
